Quilting Through the Centuries 2001

Carol Wagner from Roseville, MN, is our Featured Quilt Artist. We hope you enjoy the pieces she's loaned us for this exhibit, numbers 1, 3, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, and 57.

1. Building Sights, all of the applique and quilting patterns on this quilt were adapted from decorative details found on old Victorian buildings. The patterns were designed from carved wood, tile floors, plaster ceiling rosettes, cast concrete, and sculpted stone. All of these patterns can be found in Carol's book, New Patterns From Old Architecture. Hand appliqued and hand quilted by Carol Wagner.
